I have only one copy of Win98SE that I am trying to reinstall on someone's computer. It is legal and owned by this person. He has lost the product key. I tried using a key from 98 first edition and it did not work. Is there a way to recover that info from the CD or from the HDD since the install has started? The drive is already formatted so it's too late to check the registry.
